Jarom declined to contribute to this portion of the blog, so he will remain an enigma wrapped in a mystery.
Mika likes doing things that aren’t fun. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and big plans to save the world. Now she pretends to be a paralegal.
Evan (8) wants to be “an archaeologist or something.” He loves origami and learning about animals. Evan is in third grade this year, and has finally started playing The Legend of Zelda (hallelujah!).
June (7) loves reading in bed; throwing tantrums she is much too old to be throwing; being praised for doing extra math homework; and singing to herself. She wants to be a rancher when she grows up. June’s favorite thing in the world is Ramona, no question.
Christian was diagnosed with bilateral renal agenesis (translation: both kidneys didn’t form) at 20 weeks gestation. He was born on April 24, 2013 and lived for an hour and a half. You can read about our experience here: Day 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 8 / 9 / 10 / 12 / 15 / 16 / 17 / 18 / 22 / 23 / 24 / 26 / 32 / 33 / 36 / 37 / ∞ / Mika’s view / Jarom’s view / ongoing / Month 6 / Year 1 / Year 1.5 / Year 2 / Year 3
Ramona (2) is a drop of golden sun. She is endlessly content with life. When Ramona grows up we expect her to continue being a drop of golden sun.
