Secret
Posted: June 7, 2012 Filed under: All's Well That Ends Well 2 CommentsThe secret to being productive is going to bed at 9:30pm.
Sorry for everyone (including myself) who can’t make this work on a regular basis.
But I had a great day today, thanks to my early bedtime last night! To be fair, I went to bed early because I’d gotten only 4 hours of sleep the night before, so it was mainly a chance to catch up. Jarom is in the middle of studying for the bar, so he goes to campus every weeknight after we put the kids to bed. I have plenty to do, but yesterday it was nice to just turn in.
Jarom pointed out that it’s easier to unpack if the house doesn’t work out than to frantically pack on short notice if it does work out. Since he’s gone every night and studying on the weekends as well, packing and cleaning are pretty much up to me. So for the rest of the month, that’ll be my fun job! Which means, unfortunately, I may not get to use my new-found knowledge.
Sigh.
Okay somehow I *just* caught up with the last 5 or so blog entries, and my goodness, such monumental monumentousness!! A house! A haircut! A medical condition I can’t pronounce!
First off, hope everything with June ends up being A-OK, or if there’s something going on that it is easily treatable. Secondly, you’re going to get a house, that’s so exciting!! Home ownership certainly has its ups and downs, but we’re enjoying it so far. Probably would be more enjoyable with a gardener and a maid, but we can put that dream on the shelf for now :)
Also I agree on the sleep thing – I’ve always advocated for 9 hours a night (10-7 works like a charm.) I mean, before I had kids at least. Now if I get a 4 or 5 hour stretch of consecutive sleep, I call it a victory.
Keep us updated, can’t wait to see house pics.
As long as we’re dreaming, why not include a personal chef and a masseuse?
Someday, I promise, I will get pictures of the house. The last few times I’ve gone, I plan a babysitter, but that falls through and I end up taking the kids with me. And the camera does not come out of my bag.
