Cover art
Posted: March 7, 2011 Filed under: Book of Sand 2 CommentsI really love this Perry Mason cover, found via Pinterest. I have a set of three Perry Mason books that the Romgi got me for Christmas. The Case of the Sleepwalker’s Niece isn’t one of the books, but the episode is on the Season 1 dvds I got for Christmas the year before last.
I admit, a lot of the books on my to-read list are there only because I saw the covers and thought the books looked interesting. Fortunately, so far they’ve all been good.
Some other covers I’ve judged by:
Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld
Stone’s Fall by Iain Pears
The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey
Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann
Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney
Do you like cover art? Do you judge books by their covers?
I love covers, too! Here’s two opposite ends of the spectrum sites I like:

and

Honestly, I think the Perry Mason cover belongs on the second blog. I may even have to submit it. All the others I like, though.
I totally judge books by their covers! Even by their Spines! If the Spine doesn’t have a good enough font + title, I don’t pick it up. Unless it is by an author I already know I like.
