(My mom says this joke is old, and has never been funny. But um, I love jokes like this. And besides…it made a good announcement, huh?)

That’s the same joke Ted told me right before we found out I was pregnant with Jessica. We had gone to their house for Sunday dinner, and I wasn’t feeling well, and he said, “Maybe you’ve got the Egyptian Flu–you know, where you’re sick for 9 months and then you become a mummy!”
He thought it was waaay funnier than any of the rest of it. As he is wont to do:)
