I’d like to insert that shortly after we went down the next switchback after these pictures, it started hailing. Hail is actually quite painful to walk in, especially when the weather was nice when you left the cabin so you wore a t-shirt and the only comfy pants that fit anymore. Then the hail turned into a downpour, which continued for about an hour while we continued hiking. Needless to say, I was thoroughly soaked and thoroughly freezing.

Finally the rain let up.

When I get it from Krista, I’ll add a picture of the Romgi and I at the end of the hike. We look appropriately sad about being soaked to the bone.

All in all, though, it was a great trip and a fun hike (in retrospect)! What have you been up to this summer?
