Here’s what I want to know:
1. What do macarons taste like? Are they really that great?
2. Are they hard to make?
3. Is it worth making them just so I can blog about it?
4. Is the craze dying down, and I ought to skip this one?
5. If you made them, what filling would you use? I’m thinking Nutella.
Wow, thanks for informing me that there’s a macaron craze. I had no idea. I don’t know how they taste, but I have had something similar in structure–an imported cookie we got from World Market. I didn’t like it. But, then, a macaron might be great. I thought it was interesting how the article really stressed how an amateur probably couldn’t do them right.
Also, your blog page is now very colorful and fun-looking with the variety of photos you have!
Macaroons are generally meringue-like, and the ones I’ve had have always been made with almond paste and coconut. Confession: I don’t really like them, although they look very pretty.
I love macaroons! But these macarons, good question.
they are delicious but notoriously difficult to make! if you try it, which i hope you do, let me know how it goes!!!!!!!
