Also it gave me an excuse to pretend I have some idea how to photograph things (in reality, I’m clueless and probably quite incompetent).

Sorry, there's no good lighting in our house!
It was hard to get all the flowers in one nice shot.
Maybe I should take some lessons.

Are you kidding? These are gorgeous! The lighting especially makes them look all soft and glowy. What kind of camera did you use?
