On the one hand I feel like we should make Christian’s birthday NOT the worst day of the year but on the other hand it kinda is. So I just want to sulk 🤷🏼♀️ Picture from the other day when I was not sulking, as a reminder that this mood will pass
Happy DST from my cubicle at what is in reality 5am. I have the essentials, like rose lemonade and a big box of See’s, but I’m lacking something really crucial...what was it...oh, sleep? #ihateyoudaylightsavings
You know those days where life is just the worst, and it’s kind of because everyone is terrible, and kind of because you yourself are a terrible person, and you want the day to end except you know tomorrow you will be the same person and everyone else will be the same as they are today, and nothing will objectively or even subjectively be better because you will still be a terrible person, and why on earth can you just not get your act together and be a gorram adult for once, and why do you just sit feeling grouchy and miserable rather than getting up and being a gorram adult for once, and you know in your heart of hearts that it’s because you are an unfathomably lazy and self-centered person and you can’t make your desire to suck less outweigh your desire to not put effort into doing anything? Today has been like that.
Watching one of my favorite movies and baking pumpkin chocolate chip cookies is really the best way to end a loooooooooooong brutal week.
Can’t wait to see how tomorrow plays out, when I’m up until 1:35am with sick kids. Pleaseohplease let them sleep for the next few hours, so I can too!
My favorite part of Christmas was getting this Doubleplusgood necklace from @sposita and @ctnzr. The holidays have gotten so much easier over the past few years, but there’s always a wistful feeling when all the cousins are together - except Christian. Knowing that he’s remembered is THE BEST FEELING. ❤️
