The Kids Your Kids Could Be Like
Posted: November 3, 2010 Filed under: Dangerous Book for Boys, Importance of Being Earnest, Little Women 5 CommentsHello readers. Look at your kids. Now look at mine.
Now look at yours, now back to mine. Sadly, your kids are not like mine. Look down, now up, she’s wearing a bow.
Close your eyes, now open them. Now they’re doing that thing you like. Look again, they’re adorable.
Turn around. Where are you now? You’re on the internet, looking at the kids your kids could be like. Look again, the baby is quiet because she’s got a pacifier. Scroll up, then down the pacifier is now DIAMONDS!!
Anything is possible when your kids are adorable. I’m on a blog.
Inspired by this video.
Day and night
Posted: November 1, 2010 Filed under: Dangerous Book for Boys, Little Women 3 CommentsAs you probably know, I am not a morning person. I hate mornings. If I had my way, I’d stay up until 2am and sleep until 10am. If I’m awake before 9am (or 8:30 at the earliest), I get grouchy. That’s why I love that the Bwun usually sleeps in until about 8:45.
Anyway, a new baby throws things off. I suppose the last few weeks before having jr were different enough – I could barely sleep at night, so I didn’t have a regular schedule. But now jr needs to eat every couple hours. And I want her to sleep at normal times (not that she’s ever really awake…), which means “bedtime” when the Bwun goes to bed. (I don’t mind holding jr during the day, and in fact I quite love it, but when she sleeps at night I want her to be in the bassinet instead of with me.) So I’ve been trying to get myself to bed at a reasonable hour in order to also get jr OUT of the bassinet in the morning. Too bad that life is far too crazy for something like that. Between family visiting, the Bwun refusing to go to sleep, and general disorderliness, I haven’t actually managed to go to bed before midnight lately.
I’d like to blame hormones for the fact that for the past few nights, after 9pm or so I am GROUCHY. As in, everything everyone says drives me crazy, everything that happens is annoying, and I just want everyone (or at least almost everyone) to shut up and go away.
And in the mornings, I get myself up around 7am and I’m in a good mood.
WEIRD!

Siblings
Posted: October 31, 2010 Filed under: Dangerous Book for Boys, Little Women 2 CommentsWe’ve survived another day without the Bwun accidentally (or intentionally) squashing jr. In fact, he still thinks she’s the greatest thing – aside from having his picture taken. He seems to have figured out that if he lies down next to her, I’ll get out the camera. Clever guy!

For whatever reason, the Bwun wanted his clothes off. He stopped throwing tantrums after I calmed him down and got his clothes off, so it seems like it was worth it to humor him. Once he was down to his diaper he wanted to take pictures with jr. Okay...?
It’s worth noting that the Bwun has also figured out you’re supposed to smile when someone takes your picture. He makes this ridiculously cheesy grin…usually it turns out being cute, but sometimes it looks more like a sneer.
Here are a few final shots of our cute little girl:
