Christmas, several months later
Posted: March 4, 2010 Filed under: Dangerous Book for Boys 5 CommentsRemember Christmas last year? Me too, and since I finally got the pictures off our camera I thought I’d share. Because it’s my blog and you should care about whatever I say.
We took the train out to my parents’ house in California. It was nice – we’d gone together once before, before the Bwun’s time. He absolutely loved the train. It left Utah around his bedtime on a Friday night and he had a lot of daylight hours on Saturday to walk me up and down the aisles. He also learned how to wave. The Bwun was a big hit with the other passengers.
The three of us had a lot of fun adventures in California visiting friends and family, but I didn’t bring the camera with me most of those times. Sorry.
Here are the pictures I do have.

The Bwun's stocking: Ikea stuffed animals and a bouncy ball with a light inside. The Romgi and I kind of stole the ball from the Bwun. It's a pretty cool ball.

The rest of us opened presents while the Bwun was asleep, and once he got up it was tricky to convince him to open his presents. Too young, I guess.

A dinosaur from Aunt Kendy (lower right), and a set of 3 Little Pigs houses and pigs - plus wolf - from Grandma & Grandpa!
What did you do for Christmas?
And now, I have to go change a diaper. Lately the Bwun is trying to reduce the Romgi’s stress level by only pooping when the Romgi is gone and can’t change diapers. Unfair. Thoughtful, though, I suppose.
Stink!
Wheat Chex
Posted: February 11, 2010 Filed under: Dangerous Book for Boys 1 CommentThe Bwun takes after me: he loves Wheat Chex. I tell him they’re crackers, for whatever reason.
I’m not sure how he eats them so quickly, given that he only has two teeth (still).
Also, it’s really hard to take a picture of the Bwun. He likes to move around a lot.
Can you believe he’ll be ONE YEAR OLD in less than two weeks? It’s difficult for me to accept! While it does seem like ages ago that we were in the hospital with him, the year has gone by really quickly. Remember when he was this tiny?

It took both the Romgi and I about 15 minutes to get the Bwun into his going-home outfit. We were so timid and unsure!
And now he’s all grown up and eating Wheat Chex…sigh.
I hate messes.
Posted: January 26, 2010 Filed under: Dangerous Book for Boys 1 CommentIt may surprise you, if you know what a horrible housekeeper I am, to learn that I really hate messes. Imagine what a trial (!) it is for me to have a little boy around. (By the way, I realized today that the Bwun is more and more a little boy and less a baby. Sad! And exciting at the same time!)
Besides the fact that the Bwun destroys every tidy and clean spot I can create in our house, he also likes to feed himself. I try to give him little things he can pick up, and leave the spoon-feeding to me, but today was just one of those days. He was determined to use the spoon not only to put food in his mouth but to scoop food out of the bowl. We tried yogurt.
It was a big, big mess.
It would have been okay if the Bwun hadn’t finally picked up the little bowl and started waving it around. And dumping it on his pants, which had avoided getting any food on them until that point. Yeah, he had a bath right after I finished taking pictures.
