Updates on baby

So far, so good, guys! The pediatrician had a look at jr and said she’s doing great. No respiratory problems (they may arise shortly after birth but usually once we get past 24 hrs it’s not an issue). We just want to keep feeding her so she grows a lot.

I am fabulous – feeling so much better physically, and the painkillers are definitely helping. It still hasn’t really sunk in that we have a new baby. The Bwun came with the Romgi’s parents for a visit today. I think he was mostly upset that I wouldn’t get out of bed and go on a walk with him, and the hospital room isn’t exactly full of toddler toys. Hopefully he’ll be happier once we’re at home (or better yet, at the in-laws’) with lots of toys and attention for him. If I’d been prepared (which I wasn’t, by far) I would have gotten a new book or toy or something for the Bwun. But it was nice to see him. I love my little guy.

The Romgi is doing well, too. He adores jr and it’s fun to see him constantly grabbing the camera to get another picture of her. See?

After an unexpected and very short labor, jr has finally arrived!

She didn’t get quite enough beauty rest, being 4 weeks early…and her poor little face got bruised a bit. But we have high hopes for her!
