Almost there
Posted: February 11, 2009 Filed under: Dangerous Book for Boys 7 CommentsSince we now have less than 2 weeks until my merciful doctor is going to induce me, the Romgi and I are trying to get our house as ready as we can for the Bwun – and for not having time to do anything else. So yesterday we (mostly the Romgi) painted the nursery.
We saw an episode of some cool show on HGTV a while ago where this masterful painter/decorator/designer guy transformed a basement room into an underwater playroom. It was amazingly awesome; he painted the walls several colors of blue, with the darkest at the bottom, and blended the colors as they progressed up so that it looked like being underwater. Super-ultra-great. Our room was based on that idea – only, instead of water, it’s outer space, or the sky…whichever…the ceiling and top of the walls are the darkest blue, and it goes down to a sky-ish blue. The Romgi did an expert job of blending the colors together. I think it looks fabulous.
What do you think?
There’s still some touchup work to be done, and then the rest of the furniture (on the other side of the room) needs to be moved back, and there’s no mattress in that crib…but for the most part, we now have an awesome nursery to bring the Bwun home to.
Hooray! Now if I can just have the Bwun!
The final countdown
Posted: January 28, 2009 Filed under: Dangerous Book for Boys 3 CommentsToday is a day for much rejoicing – despite waking up with the flu, I have only…
ONE MONTH LEFT!
(And I am quite determined to not go over. The Bwun and I will not be friends if he comes later than February 28.)
(Well, we probably will be friends anyway. But I’ll remind him that I suffered for a long time. Too long.)
A note
Posted: January 6, 2009 Filed under: Dangerous Book for Boys 5 CommentsI wanted to point out that the reason I made a sign pointing to the Bwun is so that you wouldn’t think I just ate a lot over the holidays. I did that too, but the Bwun cleverly hides the extra weight. Thanks, Bwun!
Eight weeks left – and tomorrow we have the joy of going down to Payson for the first of 5 childbirth classes. Although, we’ll miss one later in the month for a ski trip with the Romgi’s family (and no, I will not be skiing) – but, as that’s the same night that the new season of LOST premiers, I kind of doubt we would have gone to class then anyway.
