Do
Posted: April 4, 2011 Filed under: All's Well That Ends Well 3 CommentsAs promised, now that I’m done complaining here are some things I do like:
- getting another hour of sleep this morning.
- antibiotics finally making some difference with my “not-strep-throat” illness.
- clementines.

- the Romgi has a full-time job lined up that lasts all summer and continues part-time next school year! Which means we don’t have to move, AND we’ll be getting some money!
- General Conference this weekend; Elder Cook’s talk most of all.
- resolving to be more cautious about what I read, and turn to non-fiction more often, in order to be educated rather than simply entertained.
- hospital socks (I didn’t get a new pair, though!).
- classes end next week.
- thanks to me being a good test-taker, even in high school, I still have money in my California Governor’s Scholarship fund and it will pay for 2 independent study classes. That way I don’t need to do crazy-busy classes on campus this summer, and I can stay right on track for finishing in December.
- watching jr learn how to crawl is amazing. Also, she shrieks and yowls when she doesn’t know how to move. It’s adorable, in a weird way.
- you guys read my blog even though sometimes it must be fairly dull. Thanks, guys.
Nap time?
Posted: March 8, 2011 Filed under: All's Well That Ends Well 1 CommentThe past few weeks, I’ve been exhausted. I was doing fine until all those tests and papers were due right in a row, and since then I just want to sleep. As you might have guessed, I don’t have time for a nap.
But yesterday I fell asleep on the Bwun’s bed. It’s shocking how comfortable a tiny bed can be when you’re exhausted.
And it’s also shocking to suddenly hear a not-so-little voice shout, “WAKE UP!” The Bwun can be quite loud when he wants to. Yes, I woke up. Luckily jr did not when he tried the same thing during her nap the other day.
I think he got it from a line in Llama Llama Mad at Mama: “Llama dreaming in the car…Wake up! Wake up! Here we are!” The Bwun says the funniest things. Except nothing is very funny when you’ve been rudely awakened from an unplanned but desperately-needed nap.
On my calendar this week: two tests, another series of journal entries, and a Women in Law luncheon. Today I’m headed up to Salt Lake to try Les Madeleines with the Romgi’s mom. Jealous? You should be! I think it will be even better than a nap.

Progress report, revisited
Posted: March 2, 2011 Filed under: All's Well That Ends Well 1 CommentMore grades came in yesterday, and I’m happy to report that things are going well…
Rel A 211. Take-home test: 96.
StDev 214R. Final grade: 97. Now officially on my transcript (and finally OVER).
WS 222. Midterm 1: 94.
Soc 311. Midterm 1: 96.
Soc 380. Midterm 1: 94.
I think the rest of the semester will go smoothly. Last week was a nightmare; the poor Romgi didn’t have any classes but instead of enjoying break was watching the kids full-time while I tackled all those midterms and a paper. I’m sad we couldn’t do anything fun while he was out of school. Oh well…maybe next time.
My goal is to get a 4.0 this semester. Will you give me a prize if I do?
