bridal shower? not so much
Posted: April 15, 2007 Filed under: All's Well That Ends Well 1 Commentkimberlee, who hosted the bridal shower, sent out 50 invitations. unfortunately, she didn’t send them out until late last week, and with finals coming up, I understand that a lot of people are busy with school. but…of the 10 people that came today, only 2 were not relatives or roommates. kind of disappointing. still, it was fun, and I had to stuff my mouth full of marshmallows. yuck.
so I was fairly let down, since it seemed like none of my friends even bothered to rsvp. after we finished cleaning up I went and cried to jarom for a long time, hung out with krista, and then went on a date with jarom to color me mine. i painted a scalloped bowl and jarom painted a soup-mug sort of thing. it made me feel much better to be productive and creative.
and, after all, it’s only 3 weeks until the big day!
bridal shower…or not
Posted: April 11, 2007 Filed under: All's Well That Ends Well 1 Commentso this one time, kimberlee said she would throw me a bridal shower. it sounded like a lot of fun. unfortunately, no one really cared, so maybe in the end it is more of a kimberlee & mika all-you-can-eat sort of party instead of an actual bridal shower.
then again, maybe people are just too lazy to rsvp.
then again, maybe people know they won’t come anyway, so why rsvp?
well, regardless, there will be chips & salsa, so I’m definitely going. besides…the decorations are fun!
bombay house
Posted: April 3, 2007 Filed under: James and the Giant Peach 2 Commentsto celebrate with jarom’s birthday money, we treated ourselves to dinner at bombay house in downtown provo.
this is one of our favorite restaurants. every time we’ve eaten there we regret being too full to finish our food, but secretly delighted that there will be leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I don’t typically like leftovers of any sort – but I’d probably eat chicken saag just for leftovers if I couldn’t have it for dinner. tonight jarom got the lamb coconut kurma and I fell back on the tried-and-true chicken saag. and this is possibly the most contented full feeling I’ve ever had.
I’ll sleep well, knowing that tomorrow there is more of that delicious food. even though it looks like something from a baby’s diaper.
