Happy Surprise

Well, we’ve made it almost to my birthday again. Some of us may have gotten here limping and bleeding (ok, not really, just exhausted and nauseated), but here we are. So how should we celebrate?

By going to the 14th Annual Llama Fest at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple, of course.

True story! Tomorrow we’ll be heading to Spanish Fork to celebrate llamas, and to partake in some tasty Andean food and souvenirs. Yes, there will be pictures. You will see the llamas.

In the meantime, the Romgi gave me a present early. Usually if I get a present before an actual holiday it’s because I have begged, pleaded, bargained, and puppy-eyed my way into opening it days or even weeks early. But this time it wasn’t my idea! The Romgi told me that this present would be delivered to his work today, and that I couldn’t wait until my birthday to open it. Um…well, if you insist!

So aren’t you curious what it was?

It was the coolest thing in the world because it IS a world!

That’s right, the Romgi got me an ecosphere!!

See the cute little shrimp? They are already friends. And I’m hoping more algae will grow and the shrimp will multiply and replenish the earth (I mean, ecosphere). …Actually, it’s bad for there to be a lot more algae as it will kill the shrimp, and although the shrimp will live for about two years, they don’t reproduce. Oh well! Still seriously cool!!
